I grew up in a whole different climate and continent. The local wild plants here are foreigners to me. Thankfully there is PlantNet. It was a breeze to identify quite a few plants I found already growing in my garden allotment.
It’s a great app and works much more often than I would expect. When it doesn’t I still have my thick reference book and search engines. Now I’m working on finding out what is the yellow flower. Rudbeckia? Arnica? Echinacea?
Update: the yellow flower is heliopsis. I found out the id from a person, not from an app or book.
