The radish flowers are becoming plump pods which will give me seeds for next year. The trick is to let more than one plant go to seed, they are not self-fertile. I accomplished this accidentally by sowing two seeds in a hole and forgetting to thin. They didn’t get enough space to grow their roots and bolted into flowering.
Behind the radish flowers, the second crop of rocket is growing nicely in one of my vertical wall containers. They don’t have deep roots and grow fast, so this system works very well.
Last year only one radish went to flower which provided me with pretty decoration but no seeds…
